New canvas gallery print

Local photographer Bob Wild  has photographed two different images of Pine Point Rapids that has been reproduced on 'Canvas'. These images are going to be laminated, stretched, and mounted in float frame format. The Canvases will be printed at Photo Central approximately 20"x30"  Once they arrive I will laminate the images with a matt finish laminate that will give the images another layer of ultra-violet protection as well as some moisture protection. Laminating is done with a heat press. This is the most difficult and extremely time consuming part of the  process. Care must be taken to ensure that dust and other particles are not laminated into the canvas. This is where silvering can occur between the canvas and the laminate.
Canvas mounting - it is important to remember to leave at least 4' inches of border on the canvas so that the picture can be stretched onto the stretcher frame. The frame thickness is the major factor on how much of a border is required. Please phone (204) 775-3895, to discuss if you are unsure.
The Roma Moulding frame choices I am putting together for these 2 images will be extremely unique, and I am anxious to show you the final product.

More later,
